The Sunderland Fire Department is always looking for dependable people willing to make a difference in our community.

To apply to the Fire Department, we need the following information:

bulletA completed Application for Appointment
bulletA completed Criminal History Request Form
bulletCopies (both sides) of your:
bulletMassachusetts Driver's License
bulletCurrent CPR Card (if applicable)
bulletCurrent First Responder Card (if applicable)
bulletCurrent Massachusetts EMT Card (If applicable)
bulletA copy of your Driver History Report

We are an on-call fire department.  This means that the station is not staffed most of the time and members respond to emergencies from home or work.  Applicants should live or work within 10 minutes of the station.

We hire Firefighters and EMTs on an as needed basis. 

Application to the department does not guarantee employment.
